This epsoide is a real testiment to how well the FC 430 tiller prefroms in some testing waters and under pressure of some heavy commercial gear being hauled in.
Approximately 6 months ago I was in the market for a solid, stable and tough dinghy for tackling the formidable Cook Strait for my commercial fishing business. After endless hours of internet browsing and searching for the right boat proved harder to find than thought. Most boat builders were offering nothing what I wanted and the most important thing I needed was superior sea keeping qualities and the next thing I wanted size and all for an affordable price and I definitely have got that since purchasing our FC 430T (Tiller). The 30hp mercury is bulletproof and compliments the hull perfectly. With 3 big fisherman and full catch of prime cook strait fish the FC 430T just crushes the sea and is dry while tackling it. I’m a commercial fisherman by day and a recreational fisherman by night but a fisherman all day and the FC430T is an absolute weapon for chasing the big snapper on the rugged Wellington west coast giving heaps of room to move and store my rods and my safety gear away. Every thought I could ever have for the perfect boat has been done for me by the brilliant design and workmanship of FC Boats. The biggest and best thing about buying an FC boat is the guys working at FC they’ve been simply amazing and have truly helped my fishing business expand without breaking the bank. If you are wanting something proven in the roughest stretch of ocean in the world then stop wanting and just get one your mad not too. My next challenge is to catch a slob of a bluefin on it to really prove it’s a mini ship. I know I will always buy FC Boats and everyone else should get onboard and support kiwi businesses because nobody regrets buying quality.
